Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Line Manager (LM) and/or Senior Inspection Engineer (SIE) in the delivery of SGS Azerbaijan LLC’s scope as per client contract.
• Functionally report to the Offshore Installation Manager regarding all inspection services coordination and execution.
• Liaise closely with platform personnel to ensure proper planning, scheduling, and equipment availability.
• Assist in inspection strategy reviews and the development of inspection programs.
• Contribute to the preparation of detailed work scopes and perform pre-surveys of equipment where necessary.
• Perform all agreed offshore inspections within the limitations of the SGS-issued Letter of Authority , ensuring timely execution.
• Supervise SGS and third-party personnel, ensuring work scopes and associated risks are clearly communicated. Conduct briefings/Toolbox Talks as required.
• Submit inspection reports (including interim reports if necessary) using approved templates, detailing condition, fitness-for-service, observations, and supporting NDT data.
• Review and, where applicable, approve reports completed by NDT technicians and third parties.
• Assess detected anomalies/defects in accordance with SGS/client procedures such as the IQRO process.
• Provide recommendations for remedial actions and verify repair quality and completion.
• Update or provide data for inspection databases (e.g., ACET) and maintenance management systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP).
• Attend relevant meetings such as shutdown planning, IQRO, safety assessments, and risk reviews.
• Maintain up-to-date logs and registers in compliance with SGS/client procedures.
• Provide timely reports as required (daily, weekly, handover, etc.).

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of inspection strategies, reporting standards, and anomaly management processes
• Familiarity with inspection databases and CMMS platforms (e.g., ACET, Maximo, SAP)
• Good communication skills and ability to lead small technical teams in a high-risk environment
