Position summary

This position is responsible to support the day-to-day operations of HR department, as well as to process and manage the company’s payroll, based on hours worked and administer payments.

Job duties

  • Processes company's payroll every pay period (On-cycle, off-cycle) in line with Local legislation;
  • Maintain payroll processing system (SAP HCM Module) and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data;
  • Identifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records;
  • Proceed requests for maternity and sick leaves and oversee requests for all other type of absences;
  • Handle changes in exemptions, job status, and job titles;
  • Act as a consultant on the effective communication of hr admin, payroll, and any other compensation issues to employees;
  • Prepare and execute all type of payment orders and addendums to employment contracts;
  • Initiating E-distribution of payslips;
  • Prepare all type of payment statements;
  • Create and develop payroll and hr admin reports within the system;
  • Budgeting;
  • Overtimes analyses (conversion into day offs, manual compensation);
  • Distribute shifts for non-shift employees within the SAP system;
  • Provide cost centre allocation report to Cost Accounting;
  • Provide overall compensation monthly based budget to Finance Department;
  • Provide payroll and hr admin reports upon requests;
  • Provide hr reports to governmental instances;
  • Provide report for medical and life insurance;
  • Provide additional support upon business required.
  • Other duties requested by Line Manager

Accountability

  • Administer and run all payrolls in accordance with operating procedures and deadlines ensuring that all payrolls are processed efficiently, effectively, accurately and are paid on time working to strict deadlines; 
  • Process payments and statutory/voluntary deductions in accordance with internal authorisation procedures;

Typical skill requirements

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience, preferable in HR;
  • Experience with payroll calculation 

Language skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Azerbaijani & English
  • Good knowledge of Russian 

Technical skills:

  • Communication skills with influence;
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines;
  • Be able to multitask;
  • Adapt to change;
  • Good time management skill 
  • Numerical & analytical thinking.

Training & education needed

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field of study (Business Administration, Economics or Finance);
