Position summary
This position is responsible for the provision of first-line technical support to computer users experiencing difficulties with computer hardware, computer and communications software; helps to resolve customers' technical problems remotely and in person.
Principal responsibilities
- Ensure timely registration, installation and operation of IT equipment and services;
- Monitor end-user computers and peripherals, troubleshoot software and hardware;
- Setting up and making ready-to-use computers and peripherals for end users;
- Provide technical services for computers, printers, and scanners;
- Provide end users with operating systems and software;
- Recover, format, write and configure lost files whenever possible;
- Assist the Coordinator in carrying out the inventory of JCT equipment;
- To ensure the protection and safety of JCT equipment physically;
- Writing antiviruses and connecting to a central antivirus server;
- Troubleshoot computer networks and computers;
- To help end users connect to VOiP, Video Conferencing systems;
- To carry out the normal functioning of the internal programs of the employees.
Accountability
- Provide a help desk such as troubleshooting, repair and maintenance
- Defects and details entered into the system on the basis of the latest resources to provide the main best solution
- Build and solve technical problems and concerns
- Identify system diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Other duties requested by the Line Manager
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT
Language skills:
- Intermediate knowledge of Russian and English
Technical skills:
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of the basics of networking and servers;
- Knowledge of Help Desk support
- Relevant certificates
- Ability to plan and organize work
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, etc.)
Equipment skills:
- Working knowledge ofIT fundamentals, operating systems, desktop software and hardware
- Knowledge of Windows OS, Apple IOS, Android
- Knowledge of computer networking
- Internet equipment and services, remote administration methods
Soft skills:
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals
- Problem-solving skills
- Communications skills
Other:
- Readiness to travel to sites on short notice.
Training & education needed
- Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences
