Reports to QHSE  & Asset Integrity Manager

Position Description 

• The Asset Integrity Engineer is responsible for supporting the QHSE & Asset Integrity Manager in assurance and oversight of asset integrity performance across respective assets.  The role reviews Operator integrity management systems, inspection and maintenance performance, corrosion management, anomaly management, barrier health, risk-based inspection, and integrity-related improvement actions to ensure risks are identified, controlled, escalated, and effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

• Support the Asset Integrity & QHSE Manager in oversight of Operator asset integrity performance. 
• Review Operator asset integrity strategies, inspection plans, maintenance plans, RBI programs, corrosion management plans, anomaly registers, and integrity KPIs. 
• Monitor integrity threats including corrosion, erosion, fatigue, mechanical damage, CUI, ageing assets, structural degradation, pipeline integrity, pressure systems, and safety-critical equipment performance. 
• Track overdue inspections, deferred maintenance, anomalies, temporary repairs, deviations, and risk-based deferrals. 
• Review inspection findings, integrity assessments, fitness-for-service conclusions, repair recommendations, and close-out evidence. 
• Support review of process safety barriers, safety-critical elements, performance standards, and verification outcomes. 
• Participate in Operator integrity reviews, technical meetings, audits, site visits, and assurance activities. 
• Prepare integrity dashboards, trend analyses, risk summaries, and management briefing notes. 
• Support development and maintenance of Company integrity assurance plans, technical registers, and risk/action trackers. 
• Coordinate with HSE, QA, operations, engineering, and external consultants on integrity-related matters. 
• Support technical challenge of Operator proposals, including inspection deferrals, risk acceptance, repair prioritization, and integrity improvement plans. 
• Support cross-asset learning and benchmarking of integrity performance against industry good practice

Essential Education, Knowledge and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgy, Corrosion, Structural, Petroleum, or related Engineering discipline. 
• Master’s degree is preferable.

Essential Experience, Qualification and Job Requirements 

• Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in oil and gas asset integrity, inspection, corrosion, maintenance, engineering, or operations. 
• Offshore/onshore upstream experience is preferred. 
• Experience with Contractors & Operator interface, RBI, corrosion management, inspection planning, or integrity threat management is an advantage. 
• Knowledge of asset integrity management, RBI, corrosion management, inspection methods, pressure systems, pipelines, tanks, structures, safety-critical equipment, and process safety barriers. 
• Familiarity with API, ASME, NACE/AMPP, ISO 55000/55001, IOGP, Energy Institute, and relevant industry guidance is preferred. 
• Certifications such as API 510, API 570, API 653, CSWIP, NACE/AMPP, RBI, or equivalent are advantageous 
• Strong engineering judgment and risk-based thinking. 
• Ability to review technical reports and identify weak assumptions. 
• Strong data analysis, dashboard, and technical reporting capability. 
• Ability to challenge  constructively and escalate material integrity risks clearly.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Azerbaijani, Russian
• Strong MS Office and document management system capability.
