Brief Job Description:
Subsea production system engineer designs, installs, and maintains offshore equipment like wellheads, manifolds and flowlines for oil and gas production. They ensure systems are safe, functional, and cost-effective by creating and reviewing project documentation, managing contractors, and supporting offshore installation and operations. This role requires a strong understanding of subsea architecture, technical coordination, and project management, often with a degree in petroleum or a related engineering field.
Job duties:
- Design and engineering: Develop and review the design of subsea production systems, including subsea trees, manifolds, and flowlines.
- Project management: Oversee project activities, lead engineering efforts, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Technical support: Provide technical and engineering guidance to offshore teams and support activities at contractor sites for new and refurbished equipment.
- Safety and compliance: Ensure all work plans and designs comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry codes.
- Contractor management: Interface with and manage contractors and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- System integration: Ensure the mechanical and functional compatibility of all parts of the subsea system and contribute to system-level documentation like PFDs, schematics, and field layouts.
Additional requirements:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or a related (Mechanical/Ocean/Marine Eng.) engineering discipline is required
- Experience: Professional experience in the subsea field is essential
- Work experience (years): Minimum 8 years
- Fluent in Azerbaijani and English
- Technical knowledge: Must possess a strong background in subsea engineering and architecture, including knowledge of system components and functions.
- Project lifecycle experience: Experience in various project phases, including feasibility, FEED (Front-End Engineering Design), and detailed design
- Communication: The ability to communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams is crucial.
- Knowledge of Standards (DNV, API, ISO)
- Software Proficiency (PIPESIM, OLGA, Caesar II, Orcaflex)
- Relevant Project Experience (SURF, Tiebacks, Deepwater)
