Position Description

Provision of Leadership support to the Commercial Team assuring the provision of qualified Commercial support to the Company and Management of SOCAR Upstream. Participation and facilitation in decision making process. Representing the company in formal committees, external meetings and working groups. Acting as a commercial area expert, working with multiple assets and working groups.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Provide leadership to Commercial Team working with multiple projects, providing support to the assets and working groups.
• Assure workflow and expertise sharing in the team,
• Provide coaching to the junior team members
• Lead the process of developing new business models of the projects
• Support Commercial Manager implementing corporative initiatives 
• Participating in Business Development activities,
• Working with the JV contracts – assisting in contractual relationship
• Assist Assets group with the budget analysis,
• Building economic-financial models for offshore and onshore projects, for Oil and Gas / Condensate fields, for prospective areas,
• Leading Business Analysts in preparation of different analysis & sensitivities. 
• Conduct of commercial assessments & studies,
• Initiation and planning of new business initiatives including risk assessment, using deterministic and probabilistic data sets and tools, scenarios development,
• building tornado charts, decision trees,
• Process development
• Working on commercial part of decision support documents.
• Actively planning and implementing the team building and coaching initiatives
• Organizing and chairing the working groups

Essential Education, Knowledge and Skills

• MBA, Oil and Gas Economics, Corporate Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Project Management, Petroleum Industry knowledge.

Essential Experience, Qualification and Job Requirements

• Min. 5-10 years of experience in Commercial Area of Oil and Gas industry.
