SWISSMED Service LLL exclusive partner of Sandoz Pharmaceuticals in Azerbaijan is looking for the Supply Chain/Logistic Manager

Job Summary:

  • The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of the pharmaceutical supply chain. This role ensures the efficient flow of materials, products, and information from suppliers to customers while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The Supply Chain Manager will oversee procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution activities to support the company’s operational and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Operations:
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory, marketing teams to ensure seamless operations and compliance.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Demand and Inventory Management:
  • Develop and implement demand planning and forecasting processes to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking of products across the supply chain.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Oversee the transportation and distribution of products, ensuring compliance with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and other regulatory requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts with logistics providers to secure cost-effective and reliable services.
  • Monitor shipment schedules and resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records to support audits and inspections.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any supply chain-related quality issues or corrective actions.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and supply chain costs.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination within the supply chain team and across departments.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP, CPIM) are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Proven experience in managing procurement, inventory, and logistics operations in a regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, distribution, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, GDP).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, 1C).
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Azerbaijan, English and Russian languages.

Conditions:

  • Schedule: Full-time work, Monday-Friday, 09:00-18:00.

  • Office-based with occasional travel to suppliers and warehouse.
