Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with project managers and engineers to identify procurement needs based on construction schedules and project requirements.
- Prepare and maintain procurement plans aligned with project timelines and budgets.
- Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules to ensure value for money and quality.
- Maintain a database of approved vendors and ensure due diligence and qualification procedures are followed.
- Prepare RFQs, RFPs, and bid documents in coordination with the technical team.
- Coordinate organizational internal purchasing processes.
- Aid for choosing materials and equipment for construction site.
- Evaluate bids and support contract award processes.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and administering procurement contracts.
- Monitor and control procurement costs to ensure alignment with project budgets.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement status, spend tracking, and forecasts.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies and legal regulations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, purchase orders, and delivery documentation.
- Coordinate with logistics, warehousing, and site management teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Track and expedite deliveries to avoid project delays.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in the construction industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
