Key details about the role and the candidate

This role will be part of the offshore team, reporting to the Rig Superintendent. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day health, safety, and environmental duties on the assigned installation, in close collaboration with senior installation personnel and the onshore QHSE Coordinator.

You and the role

We are looking for a proactive, organized, and committed candidate with strong interpersonal skills. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in the offshore QHSE field, or a related HSE role, along with knowledge of safety policies and systems. The candidate should also possess strong communication and mentoring skills and be capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Primary responsibilities

  • Ensure all work is carried out according to Client/Company Management System Procedures.
  • Monitor adherence to safety policies and investigate any accidents/incidents.
  • Conduct safety training sessions and attend safety meetings.
  • Produce and maintain health, safety, and environmental statistics and records.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, assessments, and audits, proposing remedial actions as necessary.
  • Advise personnel on HSE systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing safety documentation and closing out assigned actions in a timely manner.

Experience

  • Previous experience in the offshore QHSE field is desirable.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar HSE role.
  • Knowledge of HSE management systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others in safety practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE-related software tools.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Commitment to safe working practices and compliance with company policies and legislation.

Minimum qualifications

  • Recognized Safety Qualification/University Degree/Trade Qualification Papers.
  • Fluency in Azerbaijani and a working knowledge of English (both verbal and written).
