Position Summary:

• The Chief Engineer acts as a technical resource, providing engineering expertise upon request to address design gaps, incomplete construction details, and value engineering opportunities. Rather than being assigned to specific projects, the role focuses on offering targeted support to ensure that projects meet required engineering standards, comply with local regulations and codes, and deliver innovative, practical solutions where needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering technical support across projects as requested, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in solutions.
• Address gaps in design upon request by developing detailed engineering solutions to improve constructability and integration.
• Offer value engineering recommendations, enhancing project outcomes through innovative, time and cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with project teams, architects, and engineers to resolve specific
• technical challenges in construction design and execution.
• Provide advisory input for material selection, structural adherence, and construction details based on project needs.
• Conduct technical reviews of designs and construction methodologies, identifying potential improvements or risks.
• Act as a technical advisor for critical or complex project stages, ensuring engineering integrity and practicality.
• Support the Quality Control team by offering expert guidance on maintaining and improving quality standards.
• Ensure all engineering solutions and practices comply with local regulations, building codes, and legal requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and provide input during stakeholder discussions when required.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical
• Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or advisory role.
• Expertise in addressing design gaps and providing practical construction solutions.
• Proficiency in value engineering and developing cost-effective, innovative solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of local regulations, building codes, engineering principles, industry standards, and construction methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver quick and effective solutions.
•  Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other design and simulation tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
