Department: Project Management Office (PMO)
Location: Primary location in Baku, with occasional travel and short-term assignments across regions.

Position Summary:
The Planning Manager is pivotal in managing and forecasting the schedules of our civil construction projects. This role requires a comprehensive vision of project organization, execution, and management, underpinned by a strong engineering background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Reporting.
- Develop detailed project schedules integrating all project phases and dependencies, from planning to commissioning.
- Generate advanced weekly reports on all ongoing projects, suitable for presentation to Senior Management and VIP clients.
- Ensure the quality of reports is sufficient to give a clear status update, reducing the need for site visits by Senior Management.
- Monitor and proactively manage project timelines, identifying potential delays and devising strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, and conduct regular site visits to gather real-time data, ensuring project schedules accurately reflect on-ground realities.
- Monitor procurement schedules and project logs (SDs, MARs, NFI, NCRs, etc.) to ensure timely execution and efficient resource management. Report any inactivity or mismanagement immediately.
- Utilize various project management and presentation software to enhance the communication and understanding of project statuses.
- Train and mentor junior planners in sophisticated project management methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; engineering knowledge and skills are crucial.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in project planning within the civil construction industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Expertise in Primavera P6 and adept in using various presentation software to articulate project progress to stakeholders.
- Proven capability in managing multiple project timelines and understanding the critical path method (CPM).
- Demonstrated excellence in generating precise and actionable project reports for high-level stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present complex project data effectively.
