Department: School of Design & Architecture
The School of Design & Architecture at ADA University
The School of Design and Architecture (SDA) is outlined in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano in the framework of the Italy-Azerbaijan University initiative. It offers bachelor's programs in Interior Design, Architecture, Urban Planning and Communication Design. ADA University is
intertwined with the country’s plans, where economic and cultural growth lead the way. The urban areas are growing, and the country landscape and profile are evolving. The School of Design and Architecture will share the polytechnic approach to Design, Architecture, and Urban Planning. Graduates will gain foundational disciplinary knowledge and practical experience, thanks to fundamental courses and the learning-by-doing educational approach that pursues up-to-date development lines in project-based design studios. The School of Design and Architecture offers an international level of study suitable for entering the job market as a junior architect, urban planner, interior or communication designer. More information about SDA can be found at www.ada.edu.az/en/schools/sda

Teaching Position Details in Drawing Studio for Interior Design-3D modeling
Programme: Bachelor of Interior Design.
Year: 2st
Course: Digital Drawing Studio for Interior Design_3D modeling
Semester: First
Start dates: September 2026
General educational objectives
The course focuses on the approach to the practice of technologies supporting the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology for Interior Design, Interior Architecture, and Furniture, on learning the cognitive and methodical fundamentals for the design with advanced modelling tools, based on 'integrated information systems'. The course introduces the 3D modelling environment from a basic level, and aims to provide the necessary knowledge for the correct, complete and productive use of modelling software, which will be used as a practice tool. The methods useful for the realisation of synthesis images for the quantitative and qualitative verification of the Interior Design project are also explored, with the integration of these procedures within the BIM methodology. On the basis of a design developed according to this process, the design methods useful for integrating elements relating to the replication and prediction of the digital use of specific materials, colours, finishes and lighting fixtures into the BIM methodology are introduced. The management and prediction of the daylight component in interiors is also dealt with in the
BIM methodology.
Course's Objectives & Expected Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, the student possesses the basic skills of 3D modeling for interiors; he/she manages the construction of views and sections of the 3D model realized; he/she uses the reference software for 3D modeling supporting the BIM methodology; he/she knows the fundamentals of the BIM methodology and the professional figures involved; he/she knows how to apply the tools learned using optimal solutions for the visualization, prediction, and verification of design ideas using software supporting the BIM methodology and vertical plug-ins; knows the digitization techniques of real materials and their finishes using acquisition with different hardware devices, managing digital color profiles; can manage material, colorimetric and photometric quantities in the project based on the BIM methodology compatibly with the limits of the software tools available today.
