ADA University’s School of Public and International Affairs invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Communication, beginning in Spring 2026. This position offers an excellent opportunity for dynamic and collaborative scholars specializing in communication and digital media to join an innovative and growing academic community at the crossroads of Europe and Asia.

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses such as Mass Communication, Media Theories, Digital Media and Storytelling, and other related communication subjects. In addition to teaching, we value faculty who actively contribute to curriculum development, pursue impactful research, and foster a vibrant academic community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, student-centered teaching and contribute to curriculum design.
  • Maintain an active research agenda with publications in peer-reviewed journals and participation in international conferences.
  • Support and mentor students through academic advising and guidance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, serve on committees, and engage in community activities.
  • Carry a 3/3 teaching load, with the possibility of a reduced 3/2 load for Assistant Professors demonstrating strong research productivity.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Communication, Media Studies, or a closely related field (completed by January 2026).
  • Evidence of, or clear potential for, strong research and publications.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness, supported by student evaluations.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Commitment to collegiality, innovation, and active contribution to the university community.
