Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Russian Language, Literature, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification/license relevant to secondary education (preferred but not always mandatory).
- Professional teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2–3 years teaching Russian language and literature.
- Proven experience teaching within the IB (MYP/DP) and/or Cambridge (IGCSE/A-Level) frameworks.
- Experience in international or bilingual schools preferred.
Curriculum Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of the IB Learner Profile, ATL skills, and the inquiry-based teaching approach.
- Familiarity with Cambridge curriculum frameworks, assessment models, and IGCSE/A-
- Level standards.
- Ability to develop units and lesson plans aligned with IB/Cambridge standards and objectives.
Language Proficiency:
- Native or near-native fluency in Russian.
- Proficiency in English (as a working language for communication with staff and documentation).
Skills:
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
- Ability to use a variety of teaching and assessment strategies to meet student needs.
- Technologically proficient, with experience using digital tools to enhance language learning.
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication and intercultural skills.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Designing and delivering engaging Russian language lessons in line with IB/Cambridge curriculum requirements.
- Preparing students for IGCSE, A-Level, or IB assessments/examinations.
- Contributing to curriculum development
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and reporting to parents and leadership.
