Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations and activities at the construction site to ensure that structural work is carried out according to the approved engineering designs and project plans.
- Supervise the construction of structural elements, including foundations, beams, columns, slabs, and other key components, ensuring accuracy and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Ensure that construction practices meet or exceed industry standards, quality expectations, and local building codes.
- Work closely with the project manager, architects, and other engineers to track project progress and ensure that structural work is progressing according to the project timeline.
- Coordinate and monitor material deliveries to ensure that the right quality.
- Perform regular inspections of on-site construction to ensure that structural work complies with design specifications, building codes, and quality standards.
- Identify and address any potential issues, defects, or discrepancies in the structural work and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Provide regular updates and reports to project managers and stakeholders on the status of structural work.
- Document any changes or modifications to the structural design.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certification or licensing as a Structural Engineer
- Proven experience in supervising structural works on construction sites.
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
- Familiarity with building codes, local regulations, and safety standards related to structural construction.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
