Job Overview:

As a Logistics Operations Specialist at ALS Global Transport, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of freight forwarding and transportation services. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of logistics operations, capable of managing multiple tasks and solving challenges efficiently. You will collaborate with both internal teams and external clients, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate daily logistics operations, including shipment planning, transportation, and delivery.
• Maintain and update shipment tracking systems to ensure all cargo is properly monitored.
• Handle customer inquiries, providing updates and solutions regarding shipment status, delays, and any other issues.
• Negotiate with carriers and vendors to optimize cost and delivery times.
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations for the safe transport of goods.
• Prepare and process documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs forms.
• Analyze logistics data to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 years of work experience in the freight forwarding and transport industry.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple shipments with high attention to detail.
• Knowledge of geography and international shipping regulations.
• A university degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a benefit.
• Languages:
• Azerbaijani (fluent)
• English (fluent)
• Russian (preferred)
