The Baku Stock Exchange is looking for a skilled System Administrator to manage and maintain our IT systems, including Linux and Windows servers, virtualization platforms, databases, web servers, and core network services.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Server Administration
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu) and Windows Server 2019+ environments
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and File/Print services
• Monitor system performance, apply updates and patches, and troubleshoot OS-level issues

Virtual Infrastructure

• Administer VMware ESXi / vCenter or Proxmox environments, including VM creation, storage, and networking
• Ensure efficient resource utilization and implement backup and recovery strategies

Backup and Disaster Recovery

• Manage Veeam Backup & Replication for virtual machines, physical servers, and key applications
• Maintain backup schedules, replication plans, and disaster recovery procedures
• Regularly test backup integrity and restore functionality

Storage Administration

• Administer and maintain HPE Data Storage systems (HPE MSA)
• Configure LUNs, access controls, and monitor storage performance and capacity

Mail Server Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain Mail servers (MDaemon / Microsoft Exchange)
• Manage domains, user mailboxes, aliases, and email security policies (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)

Web & Database Management (Optional)

• Deploy and maintain web servers (Apache, Nginx) and ensure high availability
• Perform basic DBA tasks (backup, restore, tuning, and user management) for PostgreSQL and MSSQL databases

Networking & VoIP (Optional)

• Configure and maintain VLANs, routing, firewalls, and VPNs
• Support and manage VoIP systems (Yeastar / Asterisk), including SIP trunks and call routing

Security & Monitoring

• Implement security best practices and manage user access controls
• Use monitoring tools (Zabbix / Grafana) to ensure system uptime and performance

Documentation & Support

• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and incidents
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal users

What You Bring to the Table

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role
• Strong knowledge of Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Server administration
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere / ESXi / Proxmox

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL)
• Experience managing web servers (Apache, Nginx)
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and network troubleshooting
• Familiarity with VoIP technologies (SIP, PBX, call routing)

Preferred Skills

• Scripting and automation using Bash or PowerShell
• Experience with backup/recovery tools and disaster recovery planning
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure)
• Understanding of ITIL processes or similar frameworks
