Job Summary: The Cluster Executive Chef is responsible for the overall culinary management and operations within a designated cluster or group of food establishments. This role entails overseeing kitchen staff, menu development, food quality control, and ensuring the culinary experience meets or exceeds guest expectations across all outlets. The Cluster Executive Chef collaborates closely with other departments to maintain high standards of service and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to culinary teams across multiple outlets, ensuring consistency in food quality, presentation, and service standards.
  • Menu Development: Develop innovative and appealing menus for various outlets, considering guest preferences, dietary restrictions, and seasonal ingredients. Monitor menu performance and make adjustments as necessary to optimize profitability.
  • Food Quality Control: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure the freshness, flavor, and safety of all food served. Conduct regular inspections of kitchens and food preparation areas to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to deliver exceptional culinary experiences. Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Budget Management: Work closely with the management team to develop and manage food and labor budgets for each outlet. Monitor expenses, analyze financial reports, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with food suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality ingredients at competitive prices. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Monitor guest feedback and address any concerns or complaints related to food quality or service. Implement corrective actions and initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance and uphold food safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a multi-outlet environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, menu planning, and food cost control.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Additional Information:

  • This position may require working weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Travel between different properties within the cluster may be required.
