- On behalf of the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs (FCDO), represented by the British Embassy Baku, I am requesting a quotation for the Routine Periodic Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems in the British Embassy Baku and Official Residence. Further details on the requirement are set out in the “Specification” below
- Your quote should remain valid for 30 days from the required date of receipt and all costs should be stated in local currency, Azerbaijan manat, including VAT. Your quote must be received by cop 31 January 2025

- The contract is for 3 years, commencing from 01 April 2025 with one optional extension of up to one further year, subject to agreement between FCDO and contracted party
SPECIFICATION:
The supplier must hold a valid Certificate of Registration and attested to comply with the requirements of ISO 9001-2015 and ISO-45001-2018.
Tests should comply with BS5839 and BBS EN 14520 standards.
Maintenance of the fire alarm system and fire extinguishers need to be performed by a certified engineers and the certificates should be submitted with the bid
All callouts in case of any issues with the system or any part of it should be included in the cost of service and will not be paid.

Control Panel – Zeta alarm systems (UK) Analogue Addressable Premier Simplicity Plus Control Panel, 62 smoke detectors, 3 heat detectors, 5 break glass units and sounders
Residence:
Control Panel- Conventional Lifeco (UK) Eagle-8-Fire Control Panel, 25 smoke detectors, 4 heat detectors, 1 break glass unit and a sounder
Scope of work:
- Quarterly fire alarm panel and smoke detectors testing
- Checking that all functions of the alarm control panel operate by simulating fault conditions
- Visually check for any structural alterations
- Checking the batteries and their connections
- Operating every manual call point and smoke detector by special smoke aerosol to ensure that the system operates properly (cleaning all detectors by air dust cleaner)
- Checking all sounders
- Checking all cable fittings and equipment are secured and undamaged
- Logging the inspection details (date and time) with any defect details
- Replace all faulty parts found non-operational during test
- Ability to reprogram sensitivity of detectors, change configuration/ add/remove new detectors
- Checking signals and two-way communications with another panel installed in Secure area
- Quarterly emergency lights testing with 1 hour discharge

- Replace all faulty parts found non-operational during test
- Annual water discharge of hydraulic hose reels (2 in total, office only)
