Position summary
HR and Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing payroll processing and administration, as well as supporting various HR functions during the absence of our regular specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll regulations and procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain employee records related to payroll, including salary adjustments, deductions, and other relevant data.
  • Issue annual salary reference letters upon request.
  • Preparation of payroll reports.
  • Calculating monthly staff salary, bonuses, overtime payments, tax deductions, etc.
  • Calculating and processing of vacation leaves and sick leaves etc.
  • Collecting timesheet data and payroll information from Line Managers.
  • Managing and following-up vacation requires and vacation balance information.
  • Preparing salary statements.
  • Ordering and providing new employees with salary cards.
  • Processing final payment for terminated employees.   
  • Preparing financial reports for auditing purposes.                                                                                                                                                                            
  • Preparing periodic payroll reconciliation and submitting reports to Line Manager for review.
  • Maintain electronic timekeeping system.
  • Assist in coordination efforts between payroll, human resources, budget and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports, e.g. overtime, leave balances, head count, and retirement contribution reports).
  • Review and ensure accuracy of approved advances, travel and overtime claims, advances and other special payroll deductions.
  • Preparation and processing of monthly payroll for employees (This includes the entire cycle of payroll processing from capturing of new employees, leave and terminations).
  • Ensure accuracy of received sick-leaves, vacation requests and posting to payroll database .
  • Issue annual salary reference letters upon request.
  • Stay updated on changes in labor legislation and ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of payroll systems and regulations.
  • Good knowledge of labor code and employment-related laws.
  • Strong understanding of benefits administration and employment laws
  • Good knowledge and freely work with programs such as : 1C, EMAS, PASHA Life etc.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite 
  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision
  • To be very attentive and neat

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.

Language skills

  • Advanced level of Azerbaijan. English and Russian languages is highly preferred
