We connect bright minds, emerging technologies, and business challenges to accelerate the digitalization of the refinery and petrochemical sectors.We are seeking a Digital Transformation & Ecosystem Specialist to support SOCAR’s technology-driven initiatives. In this role, you will contribute to SOCAR’s digital transformation journey by supporting startup scouting, technology research, digital solution assessments, and cross-functional collaboration across teams.

Job requirements:

• You are someone who blends curiosity with execution - a connector between ideas, people, and technology.
• Have a strong curiosity about emerging technologies and are eager to learn how they can be applied in industrial settings;
• Are comfortable working with collaboration and innovation tools (e.g., Miro, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, JIRA, or innovation management platforms);
• Possess basic project coordination skills - able to plan tasks, monitor progress, and support the smooth execution of initiatives;
• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Corporate Innovation Management, or a related field;
• Have up to 3 years of experience in technology, digital transformation, or ecosystem-related roles;
• Communicate clearly and effectively with both internal teams and external potential partners, demonstrating strong cross-functional communication capabilities;
• Can adjust your communication style depending on the audience - from technical experts to business stakeholders;
• Support workshop preparation and facilitation, ensuring effective collaboration and capturing key outcomes;
• Are skilled in preparing presentations, reports, and meeting materials in a professional and concise manner;
• Are organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks with attention to detail;
• Have analytical and research skills to explore technologies, startups, or market trends and summarize key findings;
• Are fluent in Azerbaijani and English (Turkish fluency is a plus).

Job responsibilities:

• Support the scouting and engagement of startups, technology providers, and research partners to explore potential collaboration opportunities;
• Assist in the execution of open innovation initiatives from idea to Proof of Concept (PoC) that address business needs through external partnerships;
• Contribute to technology trend mapping, preparation of insight reports, and development of early-stage use cases;
• Provide coordination support for workshops, ecosystem events, and stakeholder meetings, ensuring effective participation and documentation;
• Assist in managing the communication and visibility of SOCAR’s digital innovation ecosystem — including newsletters, event recaps, and ecosystem updates;
• Support the development and maintenance of the innovation funnel and partner portfolio, tracking progress, key performance indicators, and project outcomes;
• Proactively contribute ideas to strengthen and expand the innovation ecosystem, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
