As an Expert Data Platform Engineer will collaborate with Software Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers and Data Engineers to understand their technical requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data platform solutions. The best candidate’s expertise in DevOps, DataOps and DBA will be essential in building, maintaining and upgrading Enterprise Data Platform components.
Job responsibilities:
- Designing, building, managing our modern on-premises, hybrid and cloud data infrastructure.
- Implementing monitoring, alerting and automation solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of the Enterprise Data Platform.
- Performance tuning and architectural optimization of Enterprise Data Platform computational components and data storage engines.
- Implementing data security best practices AAA, encryption and other security methods to protect sensitive information.
- Communicate implementations and improvements to internal customers (Software Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers and Data Engineers) and set up feedback loops to discuss additional requirements and needs.
- Define Enterprise Data Platform future development roadmap, upgrade and migration aligned with the roadmap plan.
Job requirements:
- Preferably at least 5 years of experience in similar roles (DevOps, DataOps and DBA).
- Experience with Data Lakehouse on-premises, hybrid and cloud data infrastructure.
- Experience with administration of Linux and DevOps tools (K8s, CI/CD, GIT, EFK, Prometheus, Grafana, Vault) .
- Experience with object store administration of Minio (S3 compatible other tools) and Apache Iceberg.
- Experience with database administration of PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, etcd, Redis, MongoDB, Neo4j.
- Experience with administration of Trino, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi.
- Nice to have experience with Terraform and Ansible.
