Responsibilities:

• Inspection of components using NDT methodologies (Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing);
• Ensuring results are accurately recorded and check against inspection metrics;
• Work on specific bespoke inspection projects as and when required;
• Contributing to continuous improvement activities and maintenance of 9001 quality assurance system;
• Ensure that the required NDT tests and inspection of products are performed in compliance with appropriate regulations and will ensure the relevant quality control inspections and tests (NDT Tasks) are planned and executed and appropriately recorded;
• Ensure the NDT equipment is calibrated;
• Performs QC team monitoring, informal and formal surveillances on Contractors QC and Inspection NDE activities for compliance to project requirements. Review of Contractor PAUT - NDE inspectors and PAUT- NDE procedures to confirm alignment to company requirements
• Perform quality control, inspection and surveillances on Contractors PAUT - NDE inspection operations.
• Perform checks on Contractors PAUT NDE results to confirm compliance to project requirements.
• Report non-conformances and corrective actions with documented evidence and recommendations for satisfactory resolution
• Ability to produce high standard written (English) reports
• Computer literate (MS programmes – words, excel, PowerPoint)
• Good knowledge of hands-on use of inspection tools for PAUT- NDE examination of welding performed by Contractor
• Performs monitoring. Informal and formal surveillances of Contractors site PAUT activities for Subsea Pipe Spooling items and Jacket Riser construction
• Performs checks on Contractors NDE results – PAUT UT scan review, MPI/DPI checks
• Provide HSE leadership and report any unsafe acts or conditions, work with company and Contractors to deliver expectations
• Overseer for company review of Contractors site PAUT NDE and issues reports on acceptance of PAUT NDE work done by Contractor
• Identify and recommends resolutions of non-conformances and corrective actions to Contractor’s site construction NDE activities and monitors to satisfactory close-out
• Review and participate in Contractors Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) ensure monitor, witness and hold points included in ITPs are implemented
• Provide detailed daily reports as required by project and attend project meetings as required
• Review and confirm conformance of Contractors NDE personnel and procedures
• Recommend areas for improvement
• Ensure Contractors fully implement project requirements as defined in approved specifications and procedures
• Source required data for monitoring and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Requirements:

• For Azerbaijani Citizens Only
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience specifically in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) inspections within oil & gas, fabrication, or industrial projects
• Valid PAUT Level 2 certification from recognized bodies such as CSWIP, PCN, or ISO 9712
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including ASME, API, AWS, ISO, and relevant project specifications
• Proven experience in preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and NDT procedures
• Proficiency in using PAUT equipment and software for inspection, data acquisition, and interpretation
• Ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate inspection reports in English
• Solid understanding of welding processes, materials, and defect types related to ultrasonic testing
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Good command of Azerbaijani and English, (Russian is an advantage)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to work onsite, including offshore or remote locations if required
• Salary: Negotiable, commensurate with experience and qualifications
