Position Overview

• We are looking for a detail-oriented Settlement Specialist with a solid accounting background to manage daily transaction settlements, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes. The role requires close collaboration with banks, payment partners, and internal finance teams to ensure accurate and timely fund flows.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily settlement processes for incoming (pay-in) and outgoing (payout) transactions
• Perform reconciliations between internal systems, bank statements, and partner reports
• Monitor and control merchant balances and obligations (payablesreceivables)
• Ensure accurate recording of transactions in accounting system (e.g., 1CEnterprise)
• Investigate and resolve settlement discrepancies and mismatches
• Support month-end closing by preparing settlement reports and reconciliations
• Coordinate with banks and payment providers for transaction tracking and issue resolution
• Maintain proper documentation for audit and regulatory purposes
• Assist in improving settlement workflows and internal controls

​​​​​​​Accounting Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and ensure proper GL postings
• Reconcile key accounts such as bank accounts, merchant liabilities, and clearing accounts
• Support preparation of financial statements in line with IFRS
• Assist in tax-related calculations (VAT, withholding tax, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and external regulations

​​​​​​​Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1.5+ years of experience in settlement, reconciliation, or accounting roles
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial flows
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably 1CEnterprise)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliation models)
• High attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Experience in fintech, payment systems, or banking is a strong advantage

• Familiarity with payment systems (card acquiring, wallets, payouts)
• Understanding of regulatory reporting requirements
• Certifications (ACCA,MOSE or similar) are a plus
