Job Summary:
A company based in Baku, operating in financial markets, is seeking a Risk Specialist with a foundation in risk management and corporate governance. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the safeguarding of a company’s assets.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating and updating risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and provide regular updates to management and stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed risk reports, highlighting trends, potential exposures, and mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance with national and international financial regulations.
• Work with internal audit and compliance teams to enforce corporate governance standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis for operational incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with departments such as Investments, Treasury, and Operations to provide risk insights for strategic initiatives.
• Liaise with external regulators and auditors to ensure alignment with risk management best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in risk or audit management or a related field.
• Familiarity with financial market instruments, including fixed income, derivatives, and currencies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Having FRM (Financial Risk Manager), PRM (Professional Risk Manager), or CFA certifications are a plus.
• A person who is patient, responsible, curious, cooperative with analytical thinking capacity will be a perfect match for the position.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Azerbaijani.
