Job Summary:
An international technology and analytics company specializing in AI-powered solutions for the energy sector is seeking a skilled Strategic Execution Senior Manager. This role will be responsible for establishing and leading the local operations function, ensuring seamless project execution and operational excellence. The position will work in close coordination with global headquarters to align local activities with international standards and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee planning and preparation phases, including resource allocation, risk assessment, and timeline development, ensuring smooth transition into the execution stage
- Lead day-to-day operations covering hardware engineering, vendor coordination, product commissioning, software integration, and grid mapping, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards
- Manage client expectations and balance them against contractual obligations
- Ensure that all installation and commissioning activities align with quality standards and compliance requirements through direct oversight
- Coordinate collaboration between internal teams and third-party vendors, aligning resource allocation and activities in preparation for execution
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of all operational processes, deployments, and audits for transparency and accountability
- Supervise and mentor cross-functional operational teams, fostering collaboration and maintaining project readiness
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and project performance throughout the lifecycle
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in senior operational roles within infrastructure upgrades and technology projects, preferably with a background in instrumentation and control systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead field operations, manage cross-functional teams, and coordinate vendors
- Solid understanding of IT ecosystems, including servers, data hierarchies, and communication protocols
- Proficient in project progress tracking, adaptive planning, and claims resolution
- Experience with commissioning, QA/QC, and project-based deployments
- Strong communication, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent project management tools
- Fluency in Azerbaijani and English (spoken and written); knowledge of Russian or other regional languages is a plus
