Position Overview

The Structural Design Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and reviewing structural systems for construction projects, ensuring safety, functionality, and compliance with applicable codes and standards. This role involves close collaboration with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to deliver cost-effective and sustainable structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop structural designs, calculations, and drawings for construction projects.
• Prepare detailed design documentation including specifications, reports, and technical submissions.
• Perform structural analysis using industry-standard software.
• Ensure designs comply with local legislation, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and structural detailing.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify design implementation and resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical support to project teams, contractors, and clients during the construction phase.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architectural, mechanical, electrical, geotechnical) to achieve integrated project outcomes.
• Evaluate innovative materials, construction methods, and technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability.
• Assist in preparing project proposals, cost estimates, and timelines related to structural design work.

Requirements

• University degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in structural design within the construction sector.
• Strong knowledge of structural codes and standards.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
