Reports to: Director of Commercial and Operations Department

A prominent organization in the energy sector is seeking a Technical Advisor with strong expertise in oil and gas operations, engineering, and technical evaluation. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple strategic projects, providing analytical and operational support within a dynamic and high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze technical documentation submitted by operating companies and subsidiaries related to operations, transportation, production, reserves, and engineering (e.g., drawings, specifications, calculations, technical evaluations, reports, procedures).
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, international/local standards, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) requirements across all projects.
• Participate in project-related meetings, field visits, and decision-making processes with operators, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to the review of contract clauses related to operations, transportation, production, and engineering in agreements such as sales and credit contracts.
• Analyze project budgets from operational and engineering perspectives and provide recommendations to the department director.
• Evaluate contractual amendments and proposed budget changes and prepare opinions from a technical and operational standpoint.
• Ensure timely collection and submission of engineering and operations-related data required under contracts or debt frameworks.
• Review monthly reports submitted by operators and contribute to the preparation and enhancement of consolidated quarterly and annual company reports.
• Manage documentation flow and provide necessary project files using official document exchange platforms.
• Prepare consolidated operational, transportation, and engineering data for official meetings, conferences, and external events.
• Maintain and update a centralized database of operations, transportation, production, and engineering documents.
• Draft official letters to operators and related institutions on behalf of the company and its subsidiaries.
• Safeguard the company’s interests in commercial and operational matters in compliance with Azerbaijani legislation and internal statutes.
• Actively participate in relevant internal commissions and report on tasks to the department director.
• Carry out additional assignments from the department director.

Qualifications:

• Education: Degree in Oil and Gas Engineering, Petroleum Geology, Mining Engineering, Oil & Gas Production and Processing, Transport and Storage of Oil & Gas, or related fields.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar technical or advisory role within oil & gas or energy sectors.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in analyzing technical reports and operational data.
• Experienced in preparing technical assessments and presentations.
• High-level proficiency in MS Office tools and standard office equipment.

Language Skills:

• Fluent in Azerbaijani and English
• Advanced Russian is preferred
