Radio engineer is a competent and experienced Telecom Engineer directly involved into execution of all type maintenance activities, ad-hoc scopes and repair events, with advanced knowledge of UHF / VHF voice and data communication principles, types and products from various manufacturers for UHF / VHF based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Radio engineer shall be competent and experienced to work directly with MAPS Engineer to support proper interfacing and integration between all MAPS components. 
• Provide advanced level technical expertise around radio transmitting, receiving and transceiving equipment. 
• Perform corrective and break-fix maintenance in technically complicated cases where MAPS engineer knowledge, skills, experience or certification are not sufficient. 
• Drive communication between CONTRACTOR and radio equipment OEM(s) to resolve complicated technical issues and improve or expand service quality. 
• Drive and participate, upon COMPANY request, in root cause analysis studies in case of failure within radio transmitting, receiving and transceiving equipment of MAPS infrastructure. 
• Monitor performance of radio equipment within MAPS infrastructure, analyze trends, and provide quarterly technical reports. 
• Participate in design changes, modifications and improvement activities involving RF transmitting, receiving and transceiving equipment upon COMPANY request. 
• Support VTMS software OEM in maintenance activities where applicable. 
• Perform ad-hoc scope within RF Engineer competencies and experience. 
• Constantly develop and enhance competency, knowledge and skills required for effective delivery of MAPS system technical support.

Requirements:

• Radio engineers shall have minimum 5 years of experience in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware components related to radio transmitting, receiving and transceiving equipment, and be competent and experienced in maintaining good practices in usage of common and specific hand tools, as well as test and measurement tools.
