Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and amend legal documents, including contracts, policies, and agreements
- Stay updated on changes in law and international standards
- Ensure compliance with national laws and international standards
- Advise on the implementation of internal policies, including disciplinary measures and employee relations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal consistency in all operations
- Conduct legal research and prepare reports for management
- Advise clients about their legal rights while recommending legal action, mediate between employees and employers, and represent clients in related negotiations
- Conduct legal analyses on a range of issues, including employment and migration law, identify legal issues, research relevant procedures, and propose appropriate practical solutions
- Review client documents for adherence to legal policies and procedures
- Draft, review, negotiate and finalize legal documents on various matters or practice areas
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor degree in law (LL.B) is must
- Master’s degree in law (LL.M) is an asset. Ideal candidate would have LL.M from a foreign university
- Preferably 2-3 years of law firm experience or alternatively in-house (corporate) experience in a company with diverse set of activities
Communication Skills
- Effective listener – able to listen carefully and comprehend all given instructions
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills – able to express ideas concisely, unambiguously and consistently
Analytical Skills
- Excellent demonstrated analytical skills; able to spot legal issues and risks in a given transaction
- Ability and maturity to make independent judgment
- Ability to do comprehensive legal research with minimal supervision

- Ability to meet the tight deadlines
- Fluency in Azerbaijani and English (both written and spoken); Russian would be an asset
- Effective computer literacy
