Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
- Operate the crane for installation and vessel operations within the crane’s design limits, considering weather and sea conditions.
- Maintain constant communication with deck and vessel crews during operations.
- Complete pre-use checklists prior to the start of each shift.
- Comply with the Client’s Safe System of Work and all relevant procedures.
- Perform first-line maintenance on the crane and associated equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized crane cabin and machinery space.
- Support the training and development of new personnel in the safe operation of offshore cranes.
- Perform additional operational activities as required.
- Immediately report all incidents and near misses to EnerMech and the Installation Manager.
- Ensure a safe and thorough shift handover is conducted and properly documented.
- Carry out other duties beyond this job description as required to support the safe and effective operation of offshore cranes, in line with EnerMech standards.
Requirements
- Secondary school degree or vocational education certificate.
- Stage 3 Crane Operator Certificate.
- Valid Banksman/Slinger Certificate
- VHF Restricted Radio Operator Certificate
- Rigging Loft Management qualification
- Basic Rigging Certificate
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in offshore operations within the relevant field
