The Role
- The primary responsibility is to support the deck operations on the client platform as per the client processes and procedures and demonstrate safety leadership and continuous development in all aspects of crane, lifting, and support service activities.
Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
- Operate crane for installation and vessel within crane design envelope, taking into consideration weather and sea states, and load.
- Ensure constant communication with deck and vessel crews
- Complete the use checklists before commencing each shift
- Compliance with the client's safe system of work
- Carry out 1st line maintenance
- Ensure good housekeeping with the crane cabin and machinery
- Coach and develop new staff members in the safe operations of offshore cranes
- Undertaking activities as required
- Ensure all incidents and near misses are reported to EnerMech and the Installation Manager immediately
- Ensure a safe and comprehensive shift handover is conducted and recorded
Requirements
- Stage 3 Crane Operator Certificate.
Preferred:
- Banksman/Slinging Certificate
- VHF Restricted Radio Certificate
- Rigging Loft Management
- Basic Rigging Certificate
- At least 3 years of experience in offshore conditions in the relevant field
