The Metrological Compliance & Validation Specialist ensures full regulatory compliance, certification governance, and methodological control throughout the Smart Grid Gas rollout. This position will be stationed as an observer and compliance representative to monitor certification processes, testing activities, and ensure proper system updates in operational platforms.
Requirements
- Develop and control approved methodologies for installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with: Azerbaijan Metrology University requirements; National legislation; Vendor technical standards
- Coordinate meter certification processes.
- Monitor and control compliance with approved methodologies during testing and field deployment.
- Maintain certification documentation, test protocols, and official approvals.
- Control and approve methodology updates prior to scaling mass deployment.
- Act as official observer during testing and certification processes.
- Ensure proper traceability between physical testing results and system records.
- Escalate any non-compliance or certification discrepancies to Operations Management.
Participate in metrological, functional, and acceptance testing of:
- Gas meters
- Bulk meters
- Electronic Volume Correctors (EVC)
Validate and ensure that certified meter status (Pass / Fail) is properly reflected in:
- HES systems
- WFM systems
- Operational databases
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Metrology.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a regulated utility or metrology environment.
- Experience working directly with regulatory authorities.
- Strong understanding of testing protocols and certification workflows.
- Fluent in Azerbaijani; English preferred.
Strong knowledge of:
- Legal metrology standards
- Gas meters
- Bulk meters
- Electronic Volume Correctors (EVC)
