Required Education and Skills

Education and Training:

  • A university degree in a technical field, preferably related to the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in one of the following languages is essential: Georgian, English, or Russian (both verbal and written).

Work Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the technical integrity of processing and utility equipment across electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation disciplines. This includes coordinating, planning, and managing the plant’s maintenance activities, overseeing contractor support, and maintaining the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) database.

Main Responsibilities:

Planning and Coordination:

  • Manage, coordinate, and review all maintenance department activities.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead teams across Electrical, Mechanical, and Instrumentation disciplines.
  • Policy and Strategy Implementation:
  • Participate in the development and execution of company policies, strategies, and management procedures.

Budget Management:

  • Plan and manage the budget for the Maintenance Department.

Annual Goals and Monitoring:

  • Set annual goals for the department and ensure they are tracked and achieved.

Staff Management:

  • Ensure discipline, monitor attendance, overtime, and vacation schedules within the department.

Reporting:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual performance reports and provide recommendations for improvements.

Contractor Oversight:

  • Ensure efficient resource utilization by managing contractors.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain key relationships both locally and internationally.

Compliance and Strategy Execution:

  • Ensure adherence to company procedures during corrective and preventive maintenance activities.

CMMS Management:

  • Oversee the management of the Computerized Maintenance Management System for work orders related to corrective and preventive maintenance.

Emergency Response Planning:

  • Ensure emergency response plans are up-to-date and executed.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with the Management of Change (MOC) process.

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide leadership in technical areas within the maintenance team and during operations.

Contractor and Supplier Coordination:

  • Coordinate contractor activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability.

Long-Term Maintenance Planning:

  • Develop and maintain long-term (12-18 months) maintenance plans for major overhauls and projects, extending up to 2-3 years.

Employee Training and Development:

  • Ensure ongoing training and maintain required competencies for the maintenance team.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and other departments to plan and execute maintenance activities.

HR Coordination:

  • Ensure accurate and timely provision of employee vacation requests, sick leave, business trips, and overtime information in coordination with HR.
  • This position requires a strategic thinker who is able to balance the demands of day-to-day operations with long-term planning while maintaining a high standard of safety, efficiency, and compliance in all maintenance activities.
