Job Responsibilities
- The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, organizing, and tracking all project documentation related to the Telecoms project. This includes handling over 1000+ technical documents, drawings, specifications, and vendor files throughout the project lifecycle to ensure timely, accurate, and controlled document flow between internal teams, vendors, and customer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a document control system compliant with project-specific requirements.
- Register, track, and update all incoming and outgoing project documentation, including SoRs, MTOs, specifications, and IFC drawings.
- Ensure compliance with document numbering systems, version control, and archiving requirements.
- Coordinate document reviews, approvals, and submissions to/from customer and subcontractors.
- Manage transmittals and distribution of documents according to pre-defined workflows.
- Monitor document submission schedules and flag potential delays.
- Support handover documentation compilation in line with project close-out requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Telecom Engineers, CAD Draftsmen, QA/QC, and Project Controls.
Request Skills
- Candidate should have hands-on experience in the following technologies
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Document Control role within oil & gas, offshore/onshore infrastructure, or telecom integration projects.
- Experience working on major projects and understanding of documentation standards.
- Proficiency with document management software (SharePoint, Documentum).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English and Azerbaijani languages (written and verbal).
