Job Responsibilities
- The CAD Draftsman will be responsible for producing detailed drawings and documentation in support of the Telecom systems design. This includes Greenfield and Brownfield scopes at the offshore platform and onshore terminal following telecom specification, SoRs, and MTOs.
- CAD Draftsman shall create detailed schematics that are utilized in the development of technical design and functional specification documentation. Develop detailed technical drawings, incorporate the input of engineers, architects, and specify dimensions, codes, materials, and production methods.
- Prepare detailed 2D CAD drawings for Telecom systems such as PA/GA, CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Fibre Optics, Radio Systems, and Webex Calling infrastructure.
- Produce layout drawings, single-line diagrams, cable routing, termination drawings, and installation details in compliance with project requirements.
- Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes and maintain as-built records.
- Work closely with Telecom Engineers to translate conceptual and detailed designs into accurate drawings.
- Incorporate data from MTOs, SoWs, and specifications into drawings and documentation.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed in line with Client’s drafting standards and document control protocols.
- Support site installation teams by providing clear, accurate drawings and details.
Request Skills
- Candidate should have hands-on experience in the following technologies
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CAD drafting for telecom, electrical, or instrumentation systems in oil & gas or offshore projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D); knowledge of SmartPlant or E3D is an asset.
- Hands-on experience in development and modification of CAD drawings
- Experience in printing on large format printing devices
- Experience in telecommunication
- Diploma or technical degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
- Familiarity with telecom and drafting standards or experience on oil and gas projects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, SoRs, and MTOs.
- Fluent in English and Azerbaijani.
