Summary: The Server is responsible for providing excellent dining experiences by taking guest orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere in the hotel’s restaurant or dining area. This role involves delivering attentive service, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the overall operations of the food and beverage department.
Education: High School Education
Experience: 1 Year
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Previous experience as a server in a hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including basic understanding of dietary restrictions.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while providing attentive service.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Activities and Competencies
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed information about menu items and specials.
- Take and accurately record guest orders, ensuring special requests are noted.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to service standards.
- Check on guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
- Clear tables, reset for the next guests, and maintain cleanliness of the dining area.
- Process payments accurately and efficiently using the hotel’s point-of-sale system.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service.
- Follow health and safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down for special events as needed.
