We are looking for highly qualified candidates for the full-time position of Chief Accountant to join our team in the oil & gas sector.
Location: Baku, Azerbaijan
Skills and Qualifications:

• Higher education in finance, accounting, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chief Accountant (oil & gas industry preferred)
• PMS certification is required
• ACCA FR, FA certifications are an advantage
• Proficiency in Azerbaijani, Russian, and English
• Excellent knowledge of local tax legislation and IFRS
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure with strong stress resilience

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate accounting records in full compliance with legislation and standards
• Monitor bank accounts and ensure timely execution of payments
• Manage petty cash, advances, and business trip reports according to internal policies
• Review and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Calculate and process all types of payroll in compliance with legal requirements
• Prepare and submit applications, letters, and inquiries to the State Tax Service
• Respond to all inquiries from the State Tax Service in a timely manner
• Submit tax reports monthly, quarterly, and annually
• Prepare and submit reports to the State Social Protection Fund (DSMF)
• Prepare and submit statistical reports on a scheduled basis
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Compile and submit cash flow, profit & Loss, and balance sheet reports
