We are looking for “Microbiology Team Leader" (only local candidates will be considered) with the requirements below: 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and coordination of the Microbiology Department,
  • Preparation of work plans for the microbiology team, task allocation, and ensuring follow-up of processes,
  • Ensuring intra-team coordination in microbiology workflows and providing necessary technical guidance,
  • Contributing to product quality by ensuring the execution of the following Microbiology Department activities in line with current guidelines:
  • Preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with current guidelines,
  • Microbiological environmental monitoring of production areas,
  • Microbiological monitoring of water systems,
  • Development and implementation of microbiological analysis methods for starting materials and finished products,
  • Microorganism identification tests,
  • Monitoring calibration processes of laboratory equipment,
  • Microbiological validation tests required for Product Quality Assurance,
  • Preparation, storage, and tracking of microorganism reference cultures,
  • Preparation and control of media and solutions used in the laboratory,
  • Monitoring and control of laboratory consumables.

Additional requirements:

  • Graduated from a university Biology program,
  • Preferably at least 5 years of experience in a Microbiology Laboratory within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Able to combine technical expertise with team leadership; capable of providing technical guidance to team members, managing task follow-up, and ensuring coordination
  • Possesses prioritization, decision-making, and coordination skills in environments involving multiple projects and stakeholders,
  • Knowledgeable about the microbiology-related sections of pharmaceutical guidelines
  • Proficient in English at a level sufficient to actively conduct discussions in reporting, guideline follow-up, and verbal communication,
  • Inclined to work cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Production, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Technical Departments, and Purchasing teams,
  • Able to think analytically while evaluating processes holistically; detail-oriented, results- and quality-focused,
  • Possesses planning, budgeting, coordination, analysis, and reporting skills related to purchasing activities.
