We are looking for “Microbiology Team Leader" (only local candidates will be considered) with the requirements below:
Key Responsibilities:
- Management and coordination of the Microbiology Department,
- Preparation of work plans for the microbiology team, task allocation, and ensuring follow-up of processes,
- Ensuring intra-team coordination in microbiology workflows and providing necessary technical guidance,
- Contributing to product quality by ensuring the execution of the following Microbiology Department activities in line with current guidelines:
- Preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with current guidelines,
- Microbiological environmental monitoring of production areas,
- Microbiological monitoring of water systems,
- Development and implementation of microbiological analysis methods for starting materials and finished products,
- Microorganism identification tests,
- Monitoring calibration processes of laboratory equipment,
- Microbiological validation tests required for Product Quality Assurance,
- Preparation, storage, and tracking of microorganism reference cultures,
- Preparation and control of media and solutions used in the laboratory,
- Monitoring and control of laboratory consumables.
Additional requirements:
- Graduated from a university Biology program,
- Preferably at least 5 years of experience in a Microbiology Laboratory within the pharmaceutical industry
- Able to combine technical expertise with team leadership; capable of providing technical guidance to team members, managing task follow-up, and ensuring coordination
- Possesses prioritization, decision-making, and coordination skills in environments involving multiple projects and stakeholders,
- Knowledgeable about the microbiology-related sections of pharmaceutical guidelines
- Proficient in English at a level sufficient to actively conduct discussions in reporting, guideline follow-up, and verbal communication,
- Inclined to work cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Production, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Technical Departments, and Purchasing teams,
- Able to think analytically while evaluating processes holistically; detail-oriented, results- and quality-focused,
- Possesses planning, budgeting, coordination, analysis, and reporting skills related to purchasing activities.
