Multinational company with branch office in Azerbaijan is looking for experienced candidates for the position of Chief Accountant with below requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the entire accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and tax preparation
- Ensuring compliance with Azerbaijani accounting standards and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as required
- Liaising with tax authorities and auditors
- Experience with 1C accounting software is mandatory
- Experience using ERP software
- VAT calculation and return filing
- Income tax calculation and return filing
- Invoicing and coordination with customers
- Payments processing and coordination with vendors
- Payroll management in line with Azerbaijan Labor and Tax Laws
Requirements:
- University degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a qualified accountant, with experience in a similar role preferred
- Proficiency in Azerbaijani and English languages (both written and verbal). Knowledge of Russian will be a plus
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with expertise in Excel
- Up-to-date knowledge of Azerbaijani tax laws and regulations
- Experience in logistics industry will be a plus
