JOB RESPONSIBILITIES OF SITE CIVIL ENGINEER IN
HIGH RISE BUILDING COMPLEX
Site Supervision and Execution
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities at the site, ensuring work progresses as per schedule.
- Interpret and implement construction drawings and specifications.
- Oversee site activities like excavation, shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, masonry, waterproofing, and finishing works.
- Monitor construction methods to ensure structural safety and quality.
Quality Control and Assurance
- Check and verify dimensions, levels, alignment, and workmanship at various stages.
- Inspect materials (ex- RMC) before use and ensure they conform the approved design mix
- Coordinate and supervise testing for concrete, steel, and other materials at site lab.
- Maintain quality assurance checklists and prepare inspection reports.
Progress, Health & Safety Monitoring and Reporting
- Maintain daily progress report (DPR), manpower reports and material consumption logs.
- Maintain daily progress reports (DPR), manpower reports, and material consumption logs.
- Report delays or issues to the project manager or site in-charge.
- Assist in tracking project milestones and timelines.
- Coordinate with Contractor, Consultants, Architects, and Subcontractors.
- Coordinate with Contractor’s MEP teams (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) for interface works.
- Assist in site meetings and walk-throughs
- Check formwork, scaffolding, and construction tools for safety and readiness.
- Enforce safety measures and use of PPE on site.
- Check contractor’s bar bending schedules (BBS), pour cards, and site checklists.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings and final completion documentation.
Knowledge Skills Required:
- AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project
- Ability to read GFC (Good for Construction) drawings
- Understanding of BS / Turkish codes, construction standards, and safety norms
- Good knowledge of english and turkish languages
