The Role:
A Middle QA Engineer (Quality Assurance Engineer) is responsible for ensuring that software and systems meet the specified requirements, function as expected, and are free from defects before they are released to users. The role of a QA Engineer is crucial in the software development lifecycle, as it ensures the quality, reliability, and usability of a product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of comprehensive test strategies and plans aligned with project requirements.
- Design and execute advanced test cases and scenarios to validate the functionality, security, and performance of the POS application.
- Utilize Android Studio to perform in-depth testing, including emulator-based testing and real-device scenarios.
- Analyze application logs to diagnose issues, verify bug fixes, and ensure system stability.
- Proactively identify, document, and manage software defects using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate closely with the development team to prioritize and resolve issues, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Conduct in-depth regression testing to guarantee that new developments do not impact existing functionalities.
- Perform thorough performance and stress testing to evaluate and optimize the application under various conditions.
- Work in close collaboration with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and technical requirements.
- Provide expert feedback and recommendations to enhance product quality.
- Drive continuous improvement in QA processes and methodologies, integrating industry best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior QA team members, fostering a culture of quality and excellence.
- Communicate effectively in English or in Russian, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional international teams.
About You:

Experience:
- Proven experience in a Senior or Mid-level QA role with a focus on payment applications.
- Proficiency with Android Studio, including log analysis, emulator usage, and debugging.
- In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and advanced testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with acquiring and payment processing systems and protocols is a significant asset.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with test automation tools and scripting is a plus.
