Role Overview:
The Product Owner will be responsible for shaping and delivering high-quality digital banking products. This individual will work closely with stakeholders to analyze business requirements, define product vision, and oversee the end-of-end development lifecycle, ensuring products meet user needs and align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for digital banking, aligning goals with business strategy and market needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements, acting as the main liaison between stakeholders and the development team.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, writing clear user stories with acceptance criteria to meet evolving business and customer needs.
- Work closely with developers, designers, and QA to deliver quality product increments and participate in sprint ceremonies to support Agile processes.
- Ensure on-time product delivery and coordinate handover to Customer Support, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Reporting teams.
- Support testing and validation to ensure features meet requirements, gathering feedback to refine the product.
- Research customer needs, trends, and competitors to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
- Define and track KPIs to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or business analysis in the fintech or banking sector.
- Solid understanding of digital banking, card products (credit, debit, prepaid), and payment ecosystems.
- Proficient in Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with card management systems and payment processors.
- Experience working with Local and International payment systems like SWIFT, XÖHKS, AZIPS.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as EMV, PCI DSS, and ISO 8583 messaging.
- Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Pragmatic Institute Certification are a plus.
