Job Responsibilities:
- Promote ICT solutions (e.g., oilfield IoT, digital oilfields, pipeline monitoring, predictive maintenance for equipment) to oil & gas customers, including national oil companies, oilfield operators, and oilfield service companies.
- Translate complex technical products into business value that oil & gas customers can understand, such as "reducing unplanned downtime," "improving recovery rates," "lowering inspection costs," and "ensuring safe production."
- Lead pre-sales technical guidance, proposal development, bid response, and proof-of-concept (POC) projects.
- Develop a deep understanding of oil & gas customers' budget cycles, procurement processes, and technical selection criteria; conduct pre-project research and engagement legally and compliantly.
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve annual sales targets.
Job Requirements:
ICT Domain Knowledge
- Ability to translate ICT products (e.g., industrial IoT, SCADA systems, edge computing, private wireless networks, video AI analytics) into customer-recognized benefits such as "real-time production data visualization," "remote wellhead control," and "automatic leak detection."
Oil & Gas Industry Experience
- Participation in large-scale oil & gas projects, such as digital oilfield transformation, automation of oil/gas processing plants, pipeline integrity management, drilling data acquisition systems, etc. Familiarity with upstream production workflows (exploration, drilling, oil extraction, gathering & transportation, storage).
Procurement Knowledge
- Understanding of oil & gas companies' procurement processes, familiarity with EPC models, framework agreements, local bidding laws (e.g., Azerbaijan's Public Procurement Law or sector-specific oil & gas regulations), budget cycles (typically aligned with annual investment plans), and technical evaluation criteria. Ability to conduct legal and compliant pre-project research and engagement.
Presentation & Communication Skills
- Strong technical presentation, proposal writing, and bid response skills. Able to communicate effectively with customers' chief engineers, production directors, and procurement departments.
- English as a working language (reading/writing technical documents and communicating with headquarters).
Linguistic Trinity
- Russian: Fluent (business negotiation and technical communication)
- Azerbaijani: Native or near-native proficiency
- English: Working proficiency (CEFR B2 or above)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in ICT solutions for the oil & gas industry
- Familiarity with local oil & gas customers (e.g., SOCAR) and relevant networks
- Basic knowledge of field instrumentation, PLC/DCS, RTU, or industrial automation
