Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent training
- English language proficiency at Intermediate level (B1), with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- 1-2 years of work experience in Accounting, Audit or Finance, preferably within the hospitality industry
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
- Knowledge of MS Office applications (especially Excel)
- Experience with Opera PMS, Micros POS and other hotel systems is an advantage
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Job Duties:
- To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Finance Department.
- Check, verify and update daily revenue for all hotel departments and distribute the Daily Revenue Report
- Audit and verify all rebates, voids and discounted transactions and obtain the required approvals
- Review guest folios and Micros checks to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Reconcile all guest payments processed by credit card on a daily basis
- Perform periodic house bank audits for all cashiers
- Prepare the daily Income Package
- Review and explain room rate changes and discrepancies
- Perform daily banquet revenue reconciliations
- Audit all officer, entertainment and discounted checks on a daily basis
- Monitor compliance with hotel policies, procedures and internal controls
- Assist with Month-End closing activities and related reconciliations
- Maintain and update archives with all relevant audit documentation
- Ensure compliance with all local and corporate policies and procedures
