We are currently looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join an offshore construction vessel project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute electrical maintenance activities in coordination with the Electrical Lead / Chief Engineer.
  • Monitor, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot onboard electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on marine electrical systems, including thrusters, ballast pumps, cranes, control panels, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults in PLC systems, electrical drives, and power distribution systems.
  • Define maintenance priorities and support preventive maintenance planning.
  • Ensure continuous availability and efficiency of vessel electrical equipment.
  • Manage spare parts requirements and coordinate procurement activities.
  • Maintain compliance with HSE, Quality, and Company procedures at all times.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment when required.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the line manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Offshore construction vessel experience is highly preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Azerbaijani.
  • Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of AC/DC and AC/AC drive systems (ABB ACS600/800, Siemens Sinamics).
  • Experience with Profibus, Ethernet, and fibre optic communication systems.
  • Knowledge of Dynamic Positioning (DP) vessel electrical systems.
  • Experience with electrical control systems for pipeline equipment, winches, tensioners, conveyors, stingers, cranes, and fire line equipment.
  • Knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens S5/S7), hardware architecture, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of electrical power distribution, diesel generator control, switchboard protection, and power management systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and functional diagrams.
  • Familiarity with spare parts management, procurement workflows (PR/PO), FAT/SAT processes, and warehouse management.
  • Strong troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation skills for marine electrical equipment.
