A large industrial project in Azerbaijan is seeking an experienced Lead Civil Engineer to oversee the civil engineering scope of a major HBI / DRI facility.

Job Purpose:
To lead and manage all civil and geotechnical engineering activities of the project, ensuring compliance with international standards, technical quality of deliverables, and effective coordination across all project phases — from design to construction, commissioning, and start-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as technical authority for all civil and geotechnical engineering works
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of civil engineers and designers
- Oversee design of civil infrastructure including earthworks, site grading, roads, paving, drainage, and utility networks
- Coordinate with Structural, Mechanical, Piping, and Electrical disciplines on interfaces and clearances
- Ensure compliance with international and local codes (ASCE, ACI, Eurocodes)
- Review and approve civil drawings, calculations, and material take-offs
- Provide engineering support during construction and resolve site-related issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 7–14 years of experience in civil engineering within heavy industrial or EPC/EPCM projects
- Mandatory experience in minerals, metals, DRI / HBI, or similar industrial facilities
- Strong knowledge of earthworks, drainage systems, roads, and industrial infrastructure
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and relevant civil design software
- Proven experience in leading engineering teams
- Good command of English (Azerbaijani, Russian, or Mandarin is an advantage)
