On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Marine Works Specialist

Job Purpose

  • The Marine Works Specialist is responsible for technical oversight and site supervision of marine construction activities, ensuring execution in compliance with contract requirements, approved designs, technical specifications, and international best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret marine design drawings, layouts, profiles, and technical documentation
  • Analyze marine and coastal studies including bathymetric, geotechnical, geophysical, and metocean data
  • Review and assess marine construction methodologies (HDPE pipeline installation, trenching, bedding, backfilling)
  • Supervise marine construction works with focus on HDPE intake and outfall pipelines
  • Monitor pipe welding, jointing, floating, towing, sinking, anchoring, and protection works
  • Coordinate with HSE teams to ensure safe execution of marine works
  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Coordinate marine and bathymetric surveys and verify installation tolerances
  • Review and validate as-built drawings and survey data
  • Participate in inspections, quality control activities, and NCR assessments
  • Prepare technical site and progress reports
  • Support coordination with EPC contractors and marine subcontractors

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Coastal Engineering, or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in marine construction works
  • Proven experience with HDPE intake and outfall pipelines
  • Experience in offshore and nearshore pipeline installation
  • Strong ability to interpret marine drawings and technical studies
  • Experience on Owner or Owner’s Engineer side is highly preferred
  • Experience in desalination projects is a strong advantage

  • Marine construction supervision
  • HDPE pipe systems and welding technologies
  • Marine surveys, tolerances, and as-built documentation
  • Strong site-based problem-solving skills
