We are looking for an experienced Offshore Mechanic to join an offshore construction vessel project.
Work Location: Offshore Construction Vessel
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical production equipment onboard the vessel.
- Carry out maintenance and repair of pipelay equipment.
- Perform maintenance of cranes and winches.
- Maintain and repair ILT equipment, hydraulic and diesel hammers, hydraulic power pack pumps, air compressors and diesel engines.
- Perform planned maintenance activities in accordance with established schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and identify appropriate corrective actions.
- Use mechanical tools and perform mechanical overhauling activities.
- Participate in daily Toolbox Talks and JSA activities when required.
- Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
- Report incidents and near misses to the relevant supervisor.
- Participate in emergency drills and comply with pollution prevention procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with HSE/HSEQ requirements and safe working practices.
- Report to the Offshore Mechanic Foreman or other designated onboard personnel.
Requirements
- Technical degree.
- Minimum 3–5 years of similar experience on a construction vessel within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong hands-on experience in mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.
- Good knowledge of mechanical equipment functionality and troubleshooting.
- Experience with mechanical tools and equipment overhauling.
- Knowledge of offshore safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Fluent English and Azerbaijani.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
