On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Procurement Customs & Logistics Specialist

An international industrial company is seeking an experienced Procurement Customs & Logistics Specialist to ensure the timely, compliant, and efficient movement of project materials from global suppliers to construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expedite critical equipment and bulk materials, monitor vendor production schedules and shipment readiness
- Plan and optimize domestic and international logistics routes (road, rail, sea, air)
- Manage and coordinate freight forwarders, carriers, and 3PL providers
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of shipping documentation (Bills of Lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, etc.)
- Oversee customs clearance procedures for imports into Azerbaijan in full compliance with local regulations
- Determine and manage HS codes, customs duties, and tax classifications
- Coordinate import permits, licenses, and non-standard clearances for industrial equipment
- Work closely with procurement, engineering, and construction teams to align material delivery with project schedules
- Resolve site-related logistics and delivery issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field
- 3–9 years of experience in logistics, expediting, and customs clearance (EPC / EPCM or heavy construction projects preferred)
- Strong practical knowledge of Azerbaijan customs regulations and procedures
- Experience with international freight forwarding and multimodal transportation
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Fluent Azerbaijani and English are mandatory (Russian or Mandarin is an advantage)
- Willingness to work full-time in Baku with business trips to project sites
